Lookout Mountain, Rock City, Ruby Falls, Chickamauga Battlefield, the Confederama, and the Chattanooga Choo Choo (I forget the name of the actual museum/railroad) are all up around Chattanooga. Mentone, AL and the adjacent DeSoto State Park, a drive down the scenic highway from Lookout Mountain, the foothills parkway around Smoky Mountain National Park. Closer to Atlanta, there’s Stone Mountain.
