I recently returned from Stone Mountain, Ga outside of Atlanta and we stayed at a Best Western there. It was nice. Very clean, employees were helpful and friendly and the location was great.

For the best shopping go to Little 5 points.

I was there in March and stayed at the Embassy Suites at the airport and it was great.I am going back again in July also with my family and am looking for a reasonable suite.
These are the hotels that were recomended to me:

    Atlanta – Perimeter
6330 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd. NE Atlanta

    Extended Stay Deluxe
    Atlanta – Lenox
    3967 Peachtree Road Atlanta

    Homestead Studio Suites
    Atlanta – Perimeter
    1050 Hammond Dr. Atlanta

If you want a very nice hotel downtown, check out the Georgian Terrace. A one bedroom suite is like a large apartment. Check out the deals on orbitz or some other travel site…

Atlanta has great prices on hotels. You will find something good. I would not recommend you to stay downtown.. It is not that safe at night.. Try Buckhead
