Regarding luggage and international travel?
November 20th, 2009 | by admin |I will be travelling from Atlanta to Chicago to Poland then to Ukraine. When I arrive in Chicago, do I need to collect my luggage or will it go direct from Atlanta to my final destination?
Thanks
Just to clarify, the ticket I bought was Atlanta to Ukraine (the stops are Chicago then Poland). Thanks

I wish I knew, I’m trying to figure that one out myself. Were flying from Memphis to Amsterdam and then to Bucharest Romania. I don’t think you have to collect it I think they do it for you but I am not sure. Thanks for asking…I’d like to know for sure myself
Was at the airport yesterday picking up my daughter and asked the KLM agent about it, she told me that they will do it for you.

You don’t need to collect your luggage, it will be transferred to your next destination, unless your connecting flight is in another airport, in London for example (from Heathrow to Gatwick.)

If you bought the flight ticket as a ticket Atlanta to Poland, the airline will forward your luggage for you. If you bought separate tickets, you need to collect your luggage.
If you are unsure, ask at the check-in.
