Philadelphia to Atlanta – best route on a rainy Friday?
November 27th, 2009 | by admin |I’m going to be traveling from the Phili area to the Atlanta area on April 11th, and I don’t know what the best way to take is. It’s probably going to be rainy for most of the trip.
I could go down I-95, and then I-85, but I might hit lots of traffic around DC, Richmond, etc. Or I could take the PA Turnpike to I-81.. but do I want to drive in the mountains if it’s rainy?
Which route do you think is best?

I would do the 95 to 85 route…I have made the trip from Charlotte to Philly before. It didn’t take that long and the ride was good. The trick is what time are you leaving Philly? The best times to go through DC is after rush hour traffic but before 3pm. Then you would miss Charlotte’s rush hour traffic as well and you wouldnt hit any Atlanta traffic
