Is Sunday A Good Day To Travel Standby?

June 27th, 2009 | by admin |

I’m going to be going to New York in the first week of March with a roommante. We are leaving from Atlanta Hartsfield Airport. We were going to leave on Saturday because we had heard that it wasn’t as busy as Friday, Sunday, or Monday but he had a wedding to go to. So is Sunday a good day to go standby?

This is through Airtrans Student fair program

And should we get there early morning or late night or what?

Sunday evening can be bad. I say show up for the very first flight of the day. I doubt too many travel Sunday *morning*. Then you can keep trying for every flight all day long!

Call revs late at night. Some are open 24 hours a day. Don’t call during business hours anywhere in the country (calls are re-routed). Often they’re bored in the late evening and happy to chat and look up flights for you.

    Good luck getting onboard!
