Check the Expedia.com site for Atlanta and sort the hotels by Class to get the better ones to display first. There may be some deals also for the time you plan to be in Atlanta.
The nicest hotels are right next to lenox malls and phipps plaza. Yes, you can stay in downtown and midtown, but why would you.
Atleast in Buckhead, you can go shopping and have the best restaurants in the city as well. At night, you can go to a nice bar/lounge for a cheap cab ride.
The westin buckhead, intercontinental, grandhyatt, and ritz carlton are my personal favorites.
If you are cute and single, send me a pic, and Ill be your tour guide
Probably the finest hotel in Atlanta is the Buckhead Ritz. It is very elegant and service is beyond reproach. I also like the Buckhead Intercontinental. If your visit is for pleasure and you have spare time, both of these hotels are located near excellant restaurants, have easy travel access and are adjacent to some of Atlanta’s best shopping centers. Because Atlanta is so spread out, if you are going to be in another part of the city or an outlying suburb, then you might want to focus on that area. Traffic here is bad and its easiest if you are convenient to your main destinations.
