Good Luck finding anything. The only places with full size hottubs in the room are very expensive hotels (Think Ritz-Carlton, W, Westin, etc), but you have to get in their best rooms...think penthouse. Look at paying about $1000+ a night.

1) First, Martin Luther King was shot at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis TN. It is now part o The Civil Rights Museum there. It is a short walk from Beale Street in Memphis. This is not Atlanta.

2) In Atlanta there is the Martin Luther King Center. It is accessible by bus from The Olympic Centennial Park. MARTA also runs trains in that direction.

I don't know about the hotel but if you are visiting Atlanta please visit the King center and take a tour of the house he lived in. It is awesome. The feeling you get walking thru the house is unexplainable. Good Luck and enjoy your family reunion

The Lorraine Motel is actually in Memphis, Tennessee and is now the home of National Civil Rights Museum. You can visit the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site in Atlanta to learn more about the life and legacy of Dr. King.but I believe that you are not going to find a replica motel like the Lorraine Motel in Atlanta.

It really depends on which interstate you are traveling on. If on 75, I would say Morrow, Stockbridge or McDonough.

If you are traveling on 85, try Peachtree City. It's not exactly on the interstate, but it's not far off.

If all else fails, just go to Google Maps and look at the cities surrounding Atlanta. Hope this helps!

Are you looking for someplace to stay or just sleep for the night? If you are looking for activities stay close to town. Look in the Jonesboro, Stockbridge, Morrow area. Still in metro Atlanta but well out of the downtown area. Plenty of restaurants, shopping and activities in that area.

Just beyond that and getting more remote is McDonough and Locust Grove.

If you want to go an hour south of Atlanta look near Forsyth or Macon.
